Remote sites, lengthy projects, shipping, sample type, and laboratory capacity may extend timing. Qualifying next-business-day results require a $50 overnight shipping fee. Confirm laboratory and completed-report delivery when scheduling.

Before disturbing painted materials, find out whether the sampled coating contains lead. BIS provides paint-chip sampling, laboratory analysis, and reporting within the agreed scope. These results can inform project planning and applicable lead requirements. Paint-chip results alone do not measure worker exposure or establish full OSHA or EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) compliance.
